what is your most waste of time movie ever?

DUMB and DUMBER

the title speaks for itself.
there are these times when you're just really bored at home and u find some old dvds you havent watched before. Apparently i found this dvd in our shelf. I watched it. Afterwards i felt like my I.Q. dropped 100%. THe entire movie was stupid. The characters were trying to pull off a really bad script. It was so trying hard to be comedy. The actors werent good. The costumes were awful. The music wasn't even remarkable. They were building up a plot which didn't end so well. It left me hanging. The story was so senseless. One thing i learned after watching was to watch movies recommended by friends. I didn't even hear a single good review about this movie so there was no reason for watching it. I also learned that when you're bored at home--never resort to watching dvds that look stupid in the first place. Devote ur time to another worthwhile activity like reading. I felt so "sabaw" after watching the movie. I thought lindsay lohan movies were dumb. This is so much dumb-er!

favorite movie [4th quarter-homework 1]

Favorite Movie:
Chocolat

Summary:

The film is set in a small French town of Lansquenet-sous-Tanne where the mayor, Comte de Reynaud (Alfred Molina) encourages the people to take the view that morality is preserved by resisting change rather than allowing them to think for themselves about what’s right and wrong.
Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche) and her daughter Anouk (Victoire Thivisol) move in to the town and sets up a chocolaterie. The devout Catholic villagers at first shun the single mother who has dared to open a chocolate shop with the shamelessly pagan name Chocolaterie Maya just as Lent's forty days of deprivation and denial have begun.
Vianne has inherited a gift for making chocolate that, like a drug, thaws the coldest of hearts and helps people discover and nurture long-buried desires. Won over by Vianne's warmth and her delectable sweets, the townspeople begin to accept her and her shop.
When a boatload of guitar-playing, folk-dancing French-Irish river wanderers decide to stop over on the town's riverbanks, Reynaud vows to cleanse the town of such forces of disorder and temptation. He tries to turn the townspeople against the Chocolaterie Maya and the river people. Vianne teams up with Roux, the riverboat captain (Johnny Depp), her irritable but progressive landlady (Judi Dench), and the local crazy lady (Lena Olin) to wage a gentle war against the town's dour intolerance. They suceeded in the end.

Why:
The film was unique and entertaining.
It is a heartwarming, feel-good movie that leaves a lasting impression with the message it conveys. Though subjective, the film relays to its viewers that pleasurable things can be good and healthful if practiced with temperance. Another message is accepting others as they are , and allowing them the freedom to be all that God has created them to be. Interestingly, this film has incorporated religious themes and images without becoming a religious film.
You're sure to feel the desire to eat the mouth-watering bonbons lovingly prepared by Vianne as you see it in the film.
It has a sweet love story as well (not mushy! >:P waahh Johnny Depp). What I like most is that Chocolat is like a good book turned into a movie. Its setting, music, costumes, characters and unique plot twist makes it different from typical Hollywood movies.

homework # 2

Today is your last day here on earth.
You only have one whole sheet of paper to
write a letter to just one person...

buhusan na to....

Dear nanay,

You seem busy all the time. We never really had a deep mother-daughter talk. I've kept a lot of secrets from you. I have done things which would have probably made u mad if u found out i did it. I upset you a million times. When you took me to a movie with my friends, i repayed you by sitting away from you. When i was thirteen, you hand picked clothes for me thinking it would suit me so well, i thanked you by saying you had no taste. Nowadays, you come home from work looking for a hug and i have my bedroom door shut all the time. When you ask me to tell you stories about my friends, i'd shut up and think it's none of your business. I never really appreciated anything you've done for me as much as i appreciate what my friends give me. To think i am your only child, i was given to you by God to take care of you. My role was to keep you happy. I did nothing but do otherwise. Yet you remained forgiving. you let all my mistakes pass. I'm sorry. You don't deserve to be treated that way.

We'll thank you for putting up with me all these years. You're the best. really.
i do not have to list down the things i need to thank you for. Everything you've done really helped me. I just didn't notice. I was too selfish. You only realize the value of something when it's gone. It's too late to take back what i've done and said. What's done is done.

It all boils down to this...
Ma, i love you.

who am i? (composition)

I was born with a lot of imperfections. Nevertheless, Ms. Frim has made me believe I am beautiful (one, true, good). These are just one of the things that make life meaningful. God, family and friends come next. I am very much like mother, which is the main reason why we argue often. Like same sides of two magnets, we repel each other, yet I love her dearly. I spend more time with my father which classifies me as a daddy’s girl. I am an only child but my friends have adopted me as their sister. I belong to a crazy, happy-go-lucky barkada and I’m proud. By the way, I’m pure Filipina and I’m proud too.

Some of my fetishes include rock climbing, eating buffet breakfasts, scribbling, reading and laughing at corny jokes. Unfortunately, I am vertically challenged. I do not like Toblerone, Chocnut, or Coke very much unlike most people. I love traveling. One day I plan to bring Elaine and Mayenne and go on a Europe tour, go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, go to Queenstown in New Zealand to do extreme sports, surf and watch world cup finals. I love the smell of coffee. I get hungry every after thirty minutes of eating. I love scribbling even though I’m a frustrated artist. Vices? Sleeping i guess. I value my youth. I have time and energy to do daring things now. One of which would be cutting my hair really short after sixteen years of having long black curly locks. I love making new friends. I am very talkative and most likely I would engage in a conversation with any stranger. I love the beach. Sometimes I believe I can live, survive, and die there. I love watching sunsets and sunrises. For me, these are the most tranquil moments during the day. I wish I could build a beach house one day. I hardly ever stay put. I seldom or never get bored. I’m always on my toes looking for things to do. Listening to different genres of music is a pastime for me. One more thing, I love the karaoke; my favorite song is What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes which is the only song where I got one hundred. These are just some of the random things about me which might interest anyone.

I’m unique—just like everybody else.
